Blossoms in Lotus

Jul 22 2010

I’ve gotten a little bit behind on taking care of my deck garden. Okay, a lot behind. Part of the issue was having run out of compost to mix my potting soil. I prefer to use my home-made compost but I fell behind on managing that, too. Finally, I went and bought two bags from the Orange Store (or was it the Blue Store?). In spite of my lack of care, the tomatoes are producing some lovely, tasty (but toughish-skinned) tomatoes and very few of the plants that I started out with have died. Most importantly, all of the really important plants (sorry, but some are more precious to me than others) have survived. What are the important ones? Well, that’s another post.

The fig twigs are my second attempt to grow trees from twigs taken from a friend’s tree. The twigs are actually very focused, it’s just my photo that is unfocused.
