Last night…
… I heard the coyotes singing. I love to hear them. I was just trying to fall asleep when I heard their voices erupt for just a few minutes and then fade away. They sounded like they were just up the hill but sound sometimes gets funneled up from the valley right to the back of the house.
I’m glad my city-raised cats are indoor cats that go outside for walks and to help us around the house.
Keeping the cats indoors protects them and it protects my ability to be joyful at the sound of the coyotes singing. I would have a harder time enjoying their voices if…
